We’re already testing the Climate Puzzle board game!

The board game, developed by our Finnish partner in the EU 1.5Lifestyles project, will be used for educational and research purposes. Now we are preparing for launching it at the Hungarian Citizen Thinking Lab on 8 October.

The goal of the game is to find ways to reduce our personal carbon-footprint to 2.5 tons/year until 2030 (and then to 0,7 t CO2e/cap/yr until 2050), which is the key to fit the Paris Climate Agreement. Players can choose options from 63 choices during the game. All of the options are evidence-based and measurable possibilities to decrease our carbon-footprint in the area of housing, mobility, nutrition and leisure. The size of the cards shows the impact of the option.

At the and of the game, all players can create their own personal plan to reach 1.5-degree lifestyles until 2030.

It’s very interesting to see how many different ways can lead us to the same goal, to decrease our carbon-footprint.
