This year we closed the 10th season of our "E.ON Energy Neighbourhoods" household energy saving and climate awareness program. The 15 “energy neighbourhoods” (95 households) participating in the program achieved - only by behaviour change! - energy savings equivalent to more than 67,000 loads of washing at 40 degrees, which would cover the annual washing needs of 645 families with 2 washes per week. The most successful community has achieved nearly 30% savings over their previous year’s energy consumption without compromising their quality of life.

The carbon footprint of the program’s events will be compensated by distributing and planting 133 native fruit trees among participating households.

The program has been supported by the E.ON Hungaria Group since 2013.
