Fresh publications

In July 2018 we have published three atricles in different media. All three deals with different issues: the scientific background of awareness raising and behaviour change, the plastic problematics and energy management.

Edina Vadovics, the scientific director of GreenDependent Institute, has published a paper in the Energy Research & Social Science journal together with her ENERGISE research mates. The paper, entitled as “Towards a practice-theoretical classification of sustainable energy consumption initiatives: Insights from social scientific energy research in 30 European countries”, reflects on experiences of a large-scale comparative analysis of sustainable energy consumption change initiatives in 30 European countries. It deals with the variations in energy use across households, social groups and societies, and highlights how these are (not) acknowledged in the problem framings of dominant energy policies and change initiatives. The draft paper can be accessed <<< here >>>.

Two articles have got published in the he July 2018 edition of Magyar Minőség (“Hungarian Quality”), the e-journal of the Hungarian Society for Quality. On one hand the journal has re-published the article of Edina Vadovics written on the problematic of plastics for the Small Footprint Newsletter vol. 107 (the article is available <<<here>>> in Hungarian). The other article, written by Gergo Horvath, deals with the introduction of energy management systems to local authorities on the example of the Compete4SECAP project. The draft version of the latter is available <<<here>>> (in Hungarian).
