The 3-years-long "Compete4SECAP – Energy management competition for local authorities for uptake and enhance of Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans" project, finaced by Horizon2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, was launched on October 1, 2017.
The project aims at providing support to a number of local authorities (LAs) throughout Europe to put their Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAP) into action and get them extended with climate actions, so as to upgrade them into Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAP). On the other hand it provides training and awareness raising for the colleagues and officials of the LAs in order to enable them to live in a more energy conscious way as well as to reduce their energy consumption at their work place by the means of changing behaviour.
